Newbold Civic Association

Serving Tasker to Wolf Street; Broad Street to 18th Street in South Philadelphia2227 S Hicks St, Philadelphia, PA 19145. NCA was formed in 2006 as a way for neighbors to come together and share their concerns about their neighborhood. NCA provides an outlet for neighbors to become more active in handling problems such as trash, graffiti, abandoned cars and other neighborhood nuisances. NCA also focuses on bringing friends in the neighborhood together by having community gatherings such as block clean ups and group gardening sessions, holiday parties, movie nights in the park, and nights out on the block. NCA not only helps find solutions to neighborhood problems, it helps individuals relate better as neighbors. NCA approaches zoning matters with the intention to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents within its boundaries. Their goal is to encourage development and land use that is supported by the community residents, that improves the quality of life in the community, and that preserves the historic character of the neighborhood. 2201 S 16th St Guerin Recreation Center, Philadelphia, PA 19145Email Janette Spirk-Cayne, 1845 Mole St Philadlephia, PA 19145 janette.spirk@gmail.com; (610)762-3183 (2018) webpage: http://newboldcivic.org/ ; Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewboldCivicAssociation
